Ty Walker, tenor, is currently a supervisor with the U.S. Army
Security Assistance Command in New Cumberland, PA. He completed
his undergraduate studies in Humanities at Penn State-Harrisburg
in 1979. An avid fan of early music, Mr. Walker has sung solos with
many of the leading choral groups in the Harrisburg area including
the Harrisburg Singers, the Susquehanna Chorale, and the Grantham
Oratorio Society. In addition, he has performed roles with the Harrisburg
Opera, Opera Outreach, Capitol Opera, the Harrisburg Community Theater,
the Metropolitan Repertory Company, Oyster Mill Playhouse, and Little
Theater of Mechanicsburg.
His featured operatic roles include Goro from Puccini’s Madama
Butterfly; Andre, Spalanzani, Piticinaccio and Franz from Offenbach’s
The Tales of Hoffman; Alfred from Strauss’s Die Fledermaus;
Guilot de Montfortaine from Massenet’s Manon; and Kaspar in
Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Mr. Walker currently lives in Camp Hill with his wife, Sherry,
and their six-pound Yorkie, Shakespeare.
