Paul Pitts has now sung over 5000 performances worldwide on seven
continents to over one billion people through television, radio,
recordings and personal appearances.
Pitts was featured soloist for the Concert of Peace in Belfast,
Ireland. This brought praise from the President of the United States
and the Queen of England.
Paul has performed at the Crystal Cathedral, Alamo Dome, TD Waterhouse
Arena, Cypress Gardens and Opryland USA. Paul plans to fulfill a
request to sing at the Vatican as well.
Paul Pitts has appeared on networks ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, TBN, and
CBN. He will appear on the big screen in a movie starring talk show
host Montel Williams and two-time Oscar winner Ben Kingsley.
Pitts has sung numerous operatic roles including: Don Jose (Carmen),
Rodolfo (LaBoheme), Manrico (Il Trovatore), Lt. Pinkerton (Madama
Butterfly), Florestan (Fidelio), Canio (Pagliacci), Cavardossi (Tosca),
Calaf (Turandot), MacDuff (MacBeth). He has also performed the tenor
roles in Beethoven’s Ninth, Handel’s Messiah and the
Verdi Requiem. Pitts will also be performing the title role of Otello
in New York this spring.
Nino Pantano, recently reviewing a performance of Pagliacci in
New York, described Paul’s title role of Canio as the following:
Mr. Pitts has one of the most beautiful voices in existence today
with impeccable diction and admirable declamatory skills. In short,
he is the Canio of our time.
Norma Swain, president of the oldest classical music club in existence
today and critic for the Harrisburg Pennsylvania Herald, after hearing
Paul in the role of Calaf in Turandot said:
The riveting performance of tenor Paul Pitts enticed me to attend
a second performance. His is one of the most beautiful voices
I have ever heard.
Paul Pitts is being compared to many of the great tenors of days
gone by. His powerful and energetic voice and thrilling performances
have spellbound thousands. Paul sings with a compassion for people.
