Lyric Soprano Alejandra Garrido has performed with various opera companies throughout New Jersey, including Rutgers Opera, Pineda Lyric, Opera Festival of New Jersey and Stony Hill Players. Stage credits include Violetta in La Traviata, Mimi in La Boheme, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Madam Silverpeal in The Impressario, and Belinda in Dido & Aeneas.
Equally at home in concert repertoire, Miss Garrido has performed as the soprano soloist in Haydn’s Paukenmesse and Lord Nelson Mass, Brahms’ Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Schubert’s Mass in G, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Mozart’s Coronation Mass. In January, Miss Garrido will be performing with the Morris Choral Society as the featured soprano soloist in their all Bach concert.
Alejandra received her Bachelors in Music, vocal performance, from Rutgers University (Mason Gross School of the Arts) and is currently finishing her Masters in Opera Performance from New Jersey City University.
Ms. Garrido maintains a voice and piano studio from her home in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing as well as the Music Teachers National Association. |
