Lyric Mezzo-soprano Adrienne Bishop has a full, rich voice and performs with sensitivity and emotion. Most recently, she competed as a finalist in the Palm Beach Opera Competition and appeared in Prague, Czechloslovakia with the Ameropa Chamber Festival. In addition to engagements in the Philadelphia area, Ms. Bishop was a young artist with Intermezzo Opera, where she performed Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos and Alma March in Little Women. During her graduate work at Temple University, she sang the roles of Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus, Nancy in Albert Herring, and covered the role of Beppe in L'Amico Fritz.
Ms. Bishop works with the Metropolitan Opera soprano, Sharon Sweet, and teaches voice out of her home in downtown Philadelphia and at Settlement Music School.
