About Us
Center Stage Opera is a non-profit (501c3) opera company with
a vital and active artistic board based in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area.
We are very creative in our approach to opera. We have established
a dynamic relationship with Cumberland Perry Area Vocational and
Technical School in the areas of graphics, set design and set construction.
The students are learning valuable, real world transferable skills
by designing and printing our posters, postcards, programs and
tickets.
We
are also the first and only Central Pennsylvania opera company presently
touring. At this time we perform at such locations as:
- Camp Hill United Methodist Church
- Pullo Family Performing Arts Center in York
- Mount Gretna Playhouse in Mt. Gretna
- Women's Club of York
- St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hanover
We are proud to welcome the CSO Opera Chorus. The Chorus debuted in our production of Norma and did a magnificent job. They are a wonderful asset to the company. We have some other surprises in store for future season which will be announced as soon as the details are final.
CSO supports local, qualified singers and instrumentalists, and provides opportunities to regional and national opera singers as well. We also reach out to emerging professionals as well as more experienced singers. Casts of CSO live primarily on the East Coast - from Florida to Boston. The production staff is from the immediate region.

Please feel free to read about our staff and performers through
the biographies that are available.
